ビッグブック（『アルコホーリクス・アノニマス』）は過去に3回改版された際に、AAの回復のプログラムについて述べている前半部は手を加えられることなくそのまま残された、とされている。 ((AA（AA日本出版局訳）[[books:aa:alcoholics_anonymous|『アルコホーリクス・アノニマス』]]翻訳改訂版, AA日本ゼネラルサービスオフィス, 2002, p.xv (15) ))
この部分の原文は "left largely untouched" であり、「__大部分は__手を加えられることなく残された」と言っているに過ぎない.
